We believe children should be immunised against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and HIB (Haemophilus influenza type B). Regulations require kindergartens to request proof of up-to-date immunization when enrolling. If child is not fully immunised, and shall not be while at the Kindergarten, the parent will be asked to complete a statutory declaration that they will remove their child at the outbreak of a contagious disease preventable by immunization, and keep their child removed from the Centre until that disease is no longer a threat. Committees can exclude unimmunised children in Queensland under current law if they see fit. (At present we will ask for a Stat Dec.)
